Treasures in Life

“Love is the only thing that we can carry with us when we go, and it makes the end so easy.”

― Louisa May Alcott

I found this quote quite profound after reading it recently. The sheer simplicity of this notion and how it sums up what life is really all about. We spend time (around occasions) actively accumulating. Perhaps that time would be better spent cultivating.  What are your treasures?

More Power to the OM

Not only is OM a powerful mantra (sound vibration) and primordial sound of the universe, but its benefits expand. Research suggests that chanting OM:

-Helps us unwind and take control over our breathing by relaxing the muscles of respiration.

-Helps us control the mind. The sound intercepts persistent thoughts.

-Reduces adrenaline levels in the body, helping to reduce stress and blood pressure.

-Affects the spinal cord and increases its efficiency. The vibration in the throat stimulates the thyroid glands.

-Helps to dull pain. The chanting produces interleukin-2 which acts similar to aspirin.

-Helps to reduce sinus problems if practiced regularly.

OM has many benefits both for the mind and body. The sound of OM carries throughout the body and penetrates to the soul or center of being.

Experience the power of OM yourself. Think of it as coming hOMe.
